Middletown firefighters respond to a morning fire on Milton Road Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 in Middletown, Ohio. Four people were in the home when the fire started and one was taken by ambulance to Atrium Medical Center. The fire claimed the life of three dogs and three cats.

An accident involving a Silver Dodge Dakota and a green Pontiac Grand Am caused the Grand Am to collide into the Fifth Third Bank Building on Main Street Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 in downtown Middletown, Ohio. There were no injuries and the building only suffered cosmetic damages according to Middletown building inspector Tom Huiet.

Trees in Douglass Park that lined Verity Parkway in Middletown, Ohio are being removed. The trees were removed because they were getting too big and were too close to the road. Branches would periodically fall into the street causing traffic problems and several people have hit the trees with their cars over the years. Twenty-one trees will replace those being cut down. The tree removal is part of a Keep Middletown Beautiful project.

A two car accident took place at the intersection of Hendrickson Rd and Union Rd in Middletown. A woman, in a Chevrolet SUV, had to be cut out of her car. The accident occurred early morning on Oct. 14, 2009.
