Michael A. Fox and Robert C. Schuler have been charged with conspiracy "to improperly benefit from Butler County contracts involving a (fiber optics) company doing business with the county," according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The Butler County Sheriff's department narcotics unit in conjunction the Clermont County Sheriff's department arrested three suspects Tuesday, September 1, 2009, in the biggest heroin bust in Butler County history. The arrest confiscated around $200,000 worth of heroin, $66,000 in cash and 2 hand guns.

Jerry Adams III was found guilty of aggravated murder in the shooting death of Raymond Davis in Middletown. He was sentenced to 25 years to life with an additional 5 years for a gun specification. Adams will serve at least 30 years.
